„Say hello to the garden, dear Journal!“
(Have you invented names for your journals?“ I thought about it)
The more you personalize it, the more it becomes your own, your friend (sounds corny, but for me, that’s true). Normally I put an Ex Libris in my book with name and date and that’s it.
But with this journal, where everything is possible, I do more and more to make it a typical Lawendula-thing. *s*
So, I started today with little things, knowing that there will not be a single page, that will be ready on one day (except for the burning page, the loosing page and the page that a friend, in my case my 7-year-old daughter will do for me).
Working with it, I feel my urge to disobey the rules. Why must I make holes with a pencil? I’ve done it three times, it’s boring. So I started to draw. That’s much more fun.

I really really enjoyed sewing.
Using vegetables to make prints....no I can’t do that and thought of leaving it, but then I found the rest of a cucumber und used that.
There is another thing, I can’t do: tear out my favorite page! No. I won’t.
Am I going to manage the shower? Have you already? What was the hardest thing to do?
Have you used blood in it? (I’m thinking about it)
I’m glad to get comments- thank you so much! It’s real fun, sharing this thing. (My German blogsisters are not that enthusiastic on this thing. It’s against all that is typical German: following rules, cleanliness, trading books like treasures- which is something I really like about my country- we really have great books, very good paper, low prices)
And there’s the big question: what’s it all about? (We are not the „just-for-fun“-nation)
Later:Oh oh oh, what have I done????
I was facing my biggest fear (the shower) and to make it short, I dropped it into the rain barrel. Oh oh, it’s really wet and the pages stick together now. Will they ever get loose again? Get dry again?
I hung it up on the clothesline. Journal-Laundy, why not? (Thought of putting it into the tumbler- but....)

Other things were: Composting. Ok, I know, only one page (I will do this soon), but I throw the whole book on the compost, just to try. It was ok.
And later:It’s ok, I‘m calming down, the pages are drying in the sun and I’m still able to open the book.
Things that can also be done in/with it:
Make drawings with a lipstick
Making prints with a teabag
Store herbs in it
Carry something with it
